Frequently Asked Questions

bulletHow does your product work?

By using olive and safflower oils to nourish the hair, while ginger and rosemary stimulate circulation in the scalp.  It is added into your favorite shampoo (preferably clarifying shampoo), and used as normal.  If you like, you can leave it in your hair for a few minutes, or wash it out immediately.  Whatever you find works best for you!

bulletAre any preservatives or harsh chemicals used?

No!

bulletIs there any animal testing?

None whatsoever... I tested this product on myself first, then asked my husband and friends to volunteer to try it.  No one tested this product involuntarily.  Only after it was found to work effectively and safely on humans did I try it on my dogs.

Does this product affect hair color or perms?

From what I am told from a regular customer, it makes hair color fade a bit.  That could be due to the clarifying shampoo, though, since it has a higher level of detergents than other shampoos.   I am not certain the effect it has on perms.

bulletHow did this product come into existence?

Ever since I can remember, my hair has grown slower than the average of 6" per year.  Although I have always yearned for long, beautiful hair, it has never grown beyond shoulder length, so many times I gave up and cut it shorter.  Then in 2001, my husband and I bought our home, which has well water.  My slow growing hair started to grow even slower and became very dry, with the hard water coming from our well being my only supply of water with which to wash it.  I became frustrated, and in early 2004, after I started learning about natural bath and beauty products, I created this concoction, in the hopes of softening my hair and increasing its speed of growth.  It worked!  When I mentioned it to others, they wanted to try it, and I later began selling it.
